When someone says ‘fearsome’ or ‘ready to protect mankind’, there’s really only one breed of dog that comes to mind. We are, of course, talking about the humble corgi. So it makes total sense that Russia plans to hire a bunch of corgis as their next police dogs. Yep, the Russian police hopes to train up Pembroke Welsh corgis into the next group of police dogs, with the duty of sniffing out drugs and bombs.
To be clear, the corgis won’t be working alongside the standard German shepherds taking down people on the run. Corgis have been chosen for their small size – perfect for sneaking into tight spaces. They’re tiny, furry spies that will save humankind, basically.
